Our mission is to propel San Francisco to equitably achieve deep emissions reductions at emergency speed.
Deep greenhouse gas emissions reductions are those that are at minimum consistent with the IPCC 1.5 Report and go hand in hand with reducing particulate emissions to improve air quality.
We seek these emissions reductions on an accelerated timeline (by 2030) without moving emissions somewhere else or inequitably burdening residents. San Francisco's comprehensive Climate Action Plan, being updated this year (2025), lays out a path to net-zero GHG emissions by 2040, yet lacks the prioritization and funding for that to happen. We demand that our leaders get it done!
Recognizing the linkage between climate change and equity, we aim to achieve our goals by collaborating and coordinating with vulnerable and historically disadvantaged communities in the solutions-building process to simultaneously reduce inequality and achieve rapid emissions reductions.
